Daycare responsibility
As a provider it is our responsibility to:
· Give a 2 week notice of changes in policy or care schedule
· Give a 2 week notice of scheduled vacations
· Be reliable and available during normal daycare hours
· Provide a safe and healthy environment to all children in care.
· To respect parents wishes on care, and follow those to the best of our ability
as allowed by licensing rules, regulations, and contract guidelines.
· Provide nutritious and delicious meals, and snacks outlined by the United
States department of Agriculture.
· To provide a stimulating yet relaxed environment that promotes learning
and socialization that is age appropriate.
Rules of Behavior, and Guidance for the children
We expect the children to respect the parents, caregivers, other children, and property at the daycare.
· We use redirection, positive reinforcement, and encourage the children to
learn from their mistakes.
· We believe that a child learns best through positive role modeling, and
copying behaviors of those around them.
· We encourage kind words, respect, and understanding of how behaviors can
make other people feel.
If we find a behavior harmful to others, very disruptive, or a child just needs to calm down they will be placed in
a quiet area. The child will stay in the area until they are calm, and can control their behavior.
Under no circumstances will corporal punishment be used or tolerated. This
includes, but is not limited to physical, and verbal abuse tactics (i.e. spanking).
If a child destroys property at the daycare it will need to be replaced by the parent. This does not include normal play, wear and tear. We
are talking about intentional destruction of toys, or property destruction.
